Pictures of the Concert!
I would upload two of the videos I have, but Bee would cry. Only because he is playing his video game and since we live in the "sticks", we can't have too much going at once or else his game lags and I have to hear him cry about it. Oh well. :)

Oh whole lotta fun!
Do you know what love is?
Love is when you spend your evening, and evening when all you want to do is throw on your PJ's and curl up in a ball and sleep the sleep of angels, in an auditorium listing to the vocal styling of the 5th and 6th grade choir/Strings (8 kids with violins and 10 weeks of lessons)/Band for two hours. THEN, professing how it was the best thing your ear hole and cerebellum had ever experiences, and doing so convincingly.
Seriously though, C did great. I was a proud mama! I was even prouder (and a little suspicious, but mostly proud) that she asked for the skirt option when it came time to buy her concert clothes. Teacher said they could wear pants, but she wanted a skirt. So, she wore one. And Tights. And Heels. And worked that outfit AND those heels like it was her job.
The only down side was her grandparents showed up. But luckily we didn't see them until the end, so our night wasn't ruined. Seeing them instantly put me in a bad mood. Yet, I clung to Bee. Figured, give them something nice to tell their daughter. I looked reeeaaly cute last night too, so I am sure I will look nice in any and all pictures she secretly snapped of me. What's irritating? She saw the kids, all three of them and was like "Ohhh! Myyy! Goshh! I've missed you soo much!" and big hugs and "how have you been?!" ensued. Ok, she saw the two little ones last Saturday. Mike has told them time and time again they can see them whenever, just let us know, we'll work something out. The phone stays silent until an event pops up where they can show them off. As for J, they treat her like she is one of theirs to her face, yet never include her in anything they do with the other two. Didn't even add her to the Christmas card they sent C and little man.
Anyway, that was last night. I'll post pictures later. Maybe even video. But, I'll spare you too much. One can only take too much 5th grade band playing "Hot Cross Buns".
If you are reading this, and have kids (of the Santa believing age), this website is sooo cute! You can fill out a request and Santa makes a Personalized video for your kids! I've done stuff like this before, and it was lame and choppy and the personal parts were dubs that didn't match at all. However, this is smooth and flows quite nicely. It also allows you to upload a picture so they can see themselves in Santa's magic book! If you want to peep the one I did for Bee, Here's the link. All I know, is little man will just be tickled pink when he sees Santa's message to him!
Another cool website, is this one. It lets you email Santa your list, and tons, and tons, and TONS of other cool stuff for kids to do!
Ok, that's it for now! I'm going to start packing things up for the day and start my long drive home!

I could just die...
Our Receptionist is out for the rest of the week, so in turn, all of us in the office are taking our turn filling in.
This is normally not an issue for me, but today I could kick myself.
My boss has a lot of money. A LOT. He recently sold one of the many companies he owns for $40 million. As a favor. He could have gotten a lot more for it, but he was feeling generous and it was a company he bought because he was bored.
Anyway, he's a sweet, sweet man but tends to side a little on the ADHD side of life. He's a spazz. He "jumps off the deep end" quite a bit, and needs to be calmed down like a child. Luckily, as his employees, we usually only see the sweet, funny, loving side of him 98% of the time. However, his assistant (who is the office manager) usually hears about it if someone messes up. His assistant for some reason, doesn't like me. She used to. We used to be "friends", I guess. We always did lunch together, and we'd talk and share things about ourselves. Then, one day she decided she didn't like me and has been super mean ever since.
So, today, as I am Manning the front desk, a gentleman comes in and says he has a 9am with "Mr. Insert-my-bosses-last-name-here". I told him I didn't think he was in yet, but did he know he was coming. He said he did. So, I offered him a seat, and a beverage. In the mean time, I text my boss and let him know this guy was waiting. Nothing. So, at 9:30 (half an hour later) I text his assistant and let HER know. My boss called in a few minutes later claiming he did not have a 9am. I politely informed him that this gentleman insisted they did. He said again "No, I don't have a 9am! Who is he?!" I repeated the guys name, and my boss insisted, a little more impatiently that he DIDN'T have a 9am and had no idea who this man is. I said, "Well, he said he had an appointment with you. What should I say?" He asked to be put on the phone with the man, so I called him over and I said I have "My Bosses Name" on the phone. To which the gentleman replied, "Who is "insert-my-bosses name"? I have an appointment with "Mr. sounds-almost-like-my-bosses-name".
I almost fainted. Mr. name-sounds-almost-like-my-bosses-name has been here since 8am. Here I have now worked up my boss, involved his prickly assistant, made this poor guy wait a half an hour, and quite possibly made Mr. "Sounds like my bosses name"'s appointments for the rest of the day off by a half an hour.
My boss seemed ok when I hung up. Relieved if nothing. His assistant called in about 20 minutes later to talk to someone else. She didn't seemed phased by it, and both the gentleman I made wait AND Mr. "Name sounds like my bosses" seemed to almost laugh about it...
But I am embarrassed.

Christmas Jars
Yesterday's post took me all day. Yes. That is how much of nothing I had to say. One would probably say, "Well, why blog then? Wait till you have something to say!" Ya'll, if I did that, you would hear from me once in a blue moon and they would be anger filled posts filled with soap boxes, and "in my opinion"'s, and well, that's not my style, nor is it why I started this blog.
However, about halfway through the day, I found out about Christmas Jars, and so I snuck it in at the end of the post. But since I haven't been able to stop reading that site, or stop thinking about them since I first heard about them, I decided they needed an entry all their own.
It all started with Meghan. I went to school with Meghan and we were kinda close then, but lost contact until Facebook came about. Meghan is married to a man she knew less than 3 months when they got married. He is wonderful and they are very much in love. She found out she was pregnant a couple of months later. They were overjoyed! Then, a month or two after that, they found out they were doubly blessed, with twins! Meghan worked two jobs the whole time she was pregnant. She saved, and budgeted, and prepared for the day her two bundles of joy would arrive. When the day came, last December, we all waited patiently for the announcement. When it finally came, there were some complications.
We all waited nervously for word on how mom and babies were doing. It turned out the twins were diagnosed with downs syndrome, but were going to be just fine! Over this last year, we have gotten to see what a wonderful set of parents these two little miracle boys have! Meghan has become a vigilant advocate for children with downs. Even starting a movement to help save a little boy who was born in Alabama who had Downs and was very sick. He was a twin, and him and his twin were going to be adopted. The adopting parents saw that one of their babies was "normal" and the other was not. He needed an extended hospital stay and that was if he was going to make it. They placed a "DNR" on this little one, and left him, saying they would take the "normal" one. Meghan and her band of crusaders bombarded that hospital and the local Government and got the "DNR" lifted so this little one can have a fighting chance. Then, spread the word that he needed a family. Last I heard, the paperwork was in the process of being done to get him a forever home!
Monday night, I was checking my facebook updates and there was one from Meghan. She was sitting on the couch with her boys (who are now 1 year old! Sooo precious!) and there was a knock at the door. She went and answered it and there was a man on her porch. He said "Are you Mrs. Wilkenson?" and she replied, "Um, Yes?" He handed her a gift bag and said "an 8th grade class wants to wish you a Merry Christmas" and walked away. She opened up the bag and took a look inside. It was a glass jar, filled, with over $200.00 in change and a book called "The Christmas Jar".
The idea behind this is, everyone keeps a spare change jar. So, you start in January and you throw all loose change in it. From your pockets, your purse, your wallet, your couch, whatever. If you can afford it, purposely throw in a dollar or two when you break a $5 or a $10. Then, when December rolls around, you pick someone who you feel is in need, or maybe just needs a reminder that they are loved, and deliver it to them, preferably decorated pretty for Christmas. Most people do it anonymously and include a copy of the book that started the idea. Or simply just put a car with the website on it.
It something soo simple. Hell, I have a change jar I started when we moved. I've thrown all change I find or that Bee leaves on the dresser into it and I already have almost $20. I have been doing it for 3 months. You'd be surprised how much you can accumulate in a year and it only requires you to keep doing what most of us do anyway. Even $50 extra dollars at the Holidays can make a world of difference to someone who needs it. It can even provide presents to a child that otherwise would not have had any.
I have come in a little late to do a real one this year, but I have already talked to Bee and the kiddos and we are for sure going to do one next year! In the mean time, I am just going to send cash and a copy of the book to someone. I already have an idea of who, too!
As for Meghan, she was so overwhelmed. She cried, she thanked God, and she has shared the idea with many. Her and her husband have decided that the real gift of the Christmas Jar was the fact that someone loved and cared for them enough to do something like this. Since they feel the money can be better used someplace else, they have decided to donate the money to Reece's Rainbow, an organization that helps place Downs Syndrome and other special needs children into forever homes!
What a seriously touching story, and a wonderful idea. I am thankful for a wonderful tradition to be able to start with my new family :)

Anyone know a joke?
My mind has officially gone blank. I don't know what to write about today. The big things going on in my life are as follows:
Football
Christmas
Family
Football - Well, Bee had his meeting with the new league on Sunday in Detroit. Sounds promising. Seems like a good group of guys to be with. I am still a little sore at Bee's old team. He loved that team and wanted to take it greatness. Him and the other owner had "different ideas" and so he told Bee to go his own way. As soon as Bee did, they tried implementing all of Bee's ideas. I find it strange because I thought I knew the other owner quite well, and it really didn't seem like something he would do. Oh well, what are you going to do. The new team will be bigger, better, and get a ring!
Christmas- Decorations are done. I told Bee I've always wanted a house with lights on it at Christmas time. He totally shocked me by telling me if I bought the lights, he'd help me put them up....but only if I got white lights...more specifically , icicle lights...and they have to be LED. Haha. He's silly. This from a man who wants no part of Christmas or decorating. However, by the time I will be able to buy them, it will be the middle of December. It has also been snowing to beat the bandit, and I don't want to be out there hanging lights. Next year.
The kids are super excited, and now that Bee knows I plan on buying presents for the kids with my bonus and putting both our names on them, he is greatly relieved and therefore getting more into the spirit of things. It sounds trivial and un-Christmas like, I know...but I too have found it hard to be excited about Christmas when you have no money. He also surprised me when BFF Rose asked where Christmas dinner was, and before I could answer he said, "At our house!" I had kinda planned on that anyway, but I was just reluctant to tell him, since we had Thanksgiving there. I didn't want him upset about the money it takes to put a holiday meal on. However, I think he realized that having the holiday meal at your house is the best because you don't have to drive anywhere, you get most of the leftovers, and for him, he can sit in his chair all day. Ha!
Family - We're all good. For the most part. Kids all have colds. However, for the most part, it doesn't seem to be stopping them much. Little man has shoveled the driveway for us everyday now! On his own! Which is cute, because we have a snow blower...but hey, it gives him something to do and he likes it. We have Christmas concerts going on, Christmas parties at school, the latter of which I am in charge of planning for little man. Kinda makes me nervous, but I'll figure something out!
Other than that, not much going on. A friend of mine, was the recipient of a Christmas Jar. Her story has really inspired me. I have always been big on the act of giving. However, I usually focus on giving to those I know, not necessarily those in need. I want to, but then I think, selfishly of course and I am not proud, "What if I need that? What if I give $50, and it turns out that I need that for something?" So, the pure thought of throwing change into a jar all year, which is something I've been doing for about 3 months now anyway, and then giving it to someone in need, just seems like such a great idea! In fact, I think that is what I am going to do with the jar I've been saving! I think it will be a nice gift to give next year and something I can get the kiddo's involved with too!

I need about 16 more days
Of sleep. For reals. Oh what a busy weekend! It's going to take at least 3 days to get back on our schedule.
Friday night, I got home and my mama was already there. She had dinner made (score!) and for that I was thankful. We ate, Bee and C left for the father daughter dance with C winning the whole pants vs. dress battle. However, she had to concede on the hoodie. She convinced her father that they didn't have to be real dressed up because her friend said so. Bee later text me to tell me that C and her friend were the only two girls NOT dressed up like it was senior prom and that him and that little girls dad were the only two dads not in a suit.
Apparently, it was packed though and they had a good time. Him and his friend Rob stood against the wall like they did in high school being "too cool" to bust a move, while the girls all ran around and boogied. Bee told me later, that he was horrified to see stripper moves, booty bouncing, and "dropping it like it's hot" from a group of pre K-5th grade girls. I was horrified too.
He came home and we were both exhausted, but we promised Bff Rose we'd come get her and take her with us to go see Bee's brother's band, and then out to this bar where our friend was celebrating his birthday. We did end up attending both the concert and the birthday party, scored free Taco Bell from BFF Rose, and then dropped her off and dragged our tired butts home where we fell into bed at about 4am.
8am we were up. Mama made breakfast, and so we ate, then headed out to the "D"! Our friends were running late and I felt bad because I really thought we were going to be on the road and at my aunts house by 11:30am. We didn't even LEAVE until 1:30pm. We made it there by 4pm, checked in, and everyone was tired. We headed over to my aunts for a bit, then went to grab dinner, planning on meeting my cousin later. Well, after dinner we were just too tired. So, we canceled going out and went to bed instead.
Can I tell you, it was one of the best nights ever. Bee and I went back to our room and crawled in bed. The beds were soooo comfortable and so were the pillows. And we just spent quality time together. No Xbox, No laptops, no text messages. No Distractions. Just us. We laughed, we giggled, we talked, we had a blast. Then, we drifted off to sleep and slept until 9am the next day. We got ready, checked out, had breakfast, and then came back to the hotel for the meeting. When they were done, we hit the road and came home.
We were so tired, but then we stayed up and watched the Steelers game. Holy S. I almost had a heart attack like 6 times. From my chunky monkey Ben getting punched in the face and having his nose broken, to Heath Miller getting a helmet to helmet blow that snapped his neck back so hard it caused him to pass out before hitting the ground in a crumpled heap. Where' the fine for that, NFL?! Hmmm?! In between that, I was cleaning, and straightening, because my mom was there all weekend and she, like a typical Grandma, doesn't make the kids do anything. They can eat in the living room and enjoy all sorts of debauchery. Which is ok, because that's what Grandma's are for. Unfortunately, it leaves a path of destruction in my house that I can't sleep knowing about.
And now the work week begins. We have C's winter concert, which means dealing with the ex's parents. Awesome. Oh yeah, and all the snow. Wee!

Wee!

GO CAVS!
I don't care that LeQuit and his team stomped a mud-hole in us last night.
We are still doing just fine without him. And our team is playing better as a team.
My boss owns a media company, and last year we did the opening lineup video for the Cavs. They asked us back this year too. Here's the result....
Pretty awesome if you ask me.... ;)

Detroit Rock City!
Ok, I apologize for my little (ok, LONG) rant yesterday. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program :)
Guess what, blog world?! I'm heading to the "D" this tomorrow night! Yes, good ole Detroit. Now, some of you are probably thinking, "Ew. Why?!" And to you I say...
"Shut up."
In the nicest possible way of course :)
I have several of my closest family members who live there. Including one very adorable God daughter! All of whom I have not seen since last Christmas. Also, the league that Bee's new team is going to be in is based out of Detroit and they are having a meeting this weekend. The meeting is on Sunday, but Bee and I wanted to go up a day before and hang out with my family so he can meet them. Then, all of us "young" folks are going to go out for a few adult beverages at the same little hole in the wall bar we always go to when I go up there.
I am so excited for Bee to meet my family and hang out. Get to know my cousins and grow to love them as much as I do and vice versa. Especially since we will probably be seeing a lot of them come summer since a lot of our games will be up there. We are also staying at the Double Tree Hotel. Um, Hello fabulous. Their beds are to DIE for. I had to stay at the one near my old house one time for a "you really shouldn't drink and drive" class, and their roll away bed was more comfortable than my $800.00 mattress set at home! Plus, their food is good too. And, I've never stayed at a hotel with Bee before. It will be nice and kind of romantic :)
As for the kiddos, Mama and Poppy will being coming out to stay with them. They are excited and so are the kids. Mama already has the menu all planned out. That's so my mom. Everything revolves around the food. Ha! But the kids don't mind. They like that. Plus, there was something mentioned about baking a gigantic cupcake in my sister's gigantic cupcake pan. Little Man will be in his glory!
As for tonight, we are super busy as well! Bee and C are going to her father daughter dance tonight. Then, after that's over, we are heading downtown to go see Bee's brother's band. Then, after a set, heading out to a bar for a friend's birthday. After all that, I hope we aren't out too late. I want to be on the road early on Saturday.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I'll probably post from the road!

A Little Frustration...brace yourself for a rant..
At the fact that I have no children of my very own, yet I know more about what it takes to be a parent than a lot of people.
I don't know if it's the holidays or if it is just simply I have some much frustration built up that I notice it more...UGH!
People should be born sterile and in order to have kids, you must take classes, and get a College degree in child rearing before you are given the ability to make children.
BFF Rose is fighting with her 18 year old son's father. They divorced when Kam was 7. The dad? He up and moved to Arizona and didn't talk to his son until he moved back 5 years later. Then, he requested that Kam come live with him because he didn't want to pay child support. Those were his actual words. BFF Rose allowed it only because Kam grew up in a good city with a really good school district. It was the only thing that kept her in that city and paying expensive rent. If he moved with his dad, he could live in a nice big house and keep attending his good school because Dad married into money. Plus, he was 12 and becoming a teenager and needed a positive male influence in his life and BFF Rose's boyfriend sucked at life, so she figured she's let him get to know his dad.
Kam hated living there. Hated his step mom. He was treated like a babysitter for the new baby and a work horse. He got a job and saved every paycheck. Didn't spend a dime because he wanted to buy a car. He had $4,000 saved and asked his dad to take him to the bank so he could get his money because he found a car and a mechanic friend of BFF Rose's checked it out and said it was a good deal. His dad then confessed, without even a trace of remorse, that he let his brother (who has problems with money) "borrow" the money about 6 months ago. Kam never did see a dime of that money, and when he did get a car, his dad expected BFF rose to "Chip in" half because he shouldn't be expected to pay it all on his own.
There are many other factors that makes him a grade "A" douche, but that's the one that sticks with me the most. That, and kicking him out at 17 because he couldn't "handle" him. Here's the thing. Kam is a straight "A" student. Never had a detention. Never in a fight. Has good, wholesome friends, and is an all around good kid. A little lazy, yes, when it comes to picking up after himself...or getting out of bed before 4pm...but a good kid. He finished up his last year at BFF Rose's house, and is taking the year off from College to figure out what he wants to do. His dad is upset and spent the last three days telling BFF Rose what a crappy parent she is, how she screwed up their kid, and how she can't find anyone to share her life with, that's why she is latching on to their son. And he removed Kam from his health iinsurance.
He pisses me off.
Then there is Miss A. She is having troubles with her jerk of an Ex too. His M.O. seems to be the same as BFF Rose's ex. Latch on to a woman with a good job and money in the bank. Bleed them dry. Have a kid or two. Then repeat. He spent the week accusing her from his new girlfriend's house that he lives with, about the kid's winter coats. They're old (one year), They're Dirty (They were washed a week ago. They're boys), They're not warm enough (They are double lined with fleece). So, this equals her being a bad parent. He bought them new jackets (I'm assuming this means the girlfriend did), but they were not sent home in them because HE bought them, so HE is keeping them at HIS house. So, Miss A then had to go out and spend money she had not planned on to buy the boys new winter coats for HER house.
Then, there is MY hive. I had had enough last night. I have heard from J who is included on the kid's letters from their mom little snippets here and there of all the wonderful things she's said about me. How "if only" she could be there to "buy them the things they need" like a "good parent" should. Like boots for winter and winter coats! Oh! The horror! Grandma S made a few comments about that too. Ok, lets get a few things straight. One, when she was "here", she STOLE to get the things SHE wanted. At least I can say I have earned every Gosh Darn penny that is in my pocket. Second, C and Little man would wear shorts and tshirts, outsides, in shoes with no socks, every day of the year. Rain, Sleet, Snow, Ice, Monsoon. They would do it, and not think twice. Since October 1st, I have not allowed any of them, even on days where it was 60 degrees, to walk out of our house in anything less than shoes WITH socks, and long pants. Short sleeves may be worn, but you WILL carry a coat/jacket/hoodie with you in case it gets cold.
Also? It's DECEMBER 2ND. And up until yesterday, we hadn't seen nary a snowflake. In fact, the temperature had yet to even dip below 40 degrees. 40 degrees does not require boots and parkas. Their tennis shoes and wool lined jackets were fine. And, if they are so concerned, why didn't they buy boots and coats?
Bee decided since it did snow yesterday, it was time to get the kids at least boots. Their coats are fine. Before we left, I went and got the mail. The kids had two letters from their mom. The back of one had a letter to Bee on it which said
I also told be I was sick of it. Sick of being disrespected in my own house like that. He called C and Little Man together and told them to stop telling their mother what she wants to hear. She is already delusional, and when she says things like "I know you are so unhappy there" DON'T Agree. It only makes it worse, because then HE gets letters asking him why are they so miserable when they clearly are not. He asked them if they were and they both agreed they weren't. He said "STOP telling her lies. STOP telling her you HATE certain people in this house because I know you don't. And if you do, you need to tell ME and that certain person can stop doing all the wonderful, loving things she does for you. It's disrespectful, it's hurtful, and most important, it's NOT TRUE. Your mother lied, stole, and did lots of bad things. She is where she deserves to be. She chose it. Not me. She chose to leave us. Remember that. I have moved on. I have forgiven her, but I will never forget and I will never take her back, so when she says things to you about us all going back to how it was? It's Bull. I am with "Monkee", and that's final and will not change. J can talk to her mom because it's free and she is not in prison. You can't talk to yours because it cost a hell of a lot more than $6.00. and we can't afford that because you guys also like to eat, wear clothes, have a warm house, and watch TV. And really, I don't like the idea of you being under her influence every day."
I doubt it'll change much...but it least made me feel better.....and hopefully him too. We left to go get boots, and $75.00 later ( For KIDS boots...at PAYLESS...WTF?) , returned home. J didn't get any because she said she had a pair, but they were in storage. Her mom called later and she asked her about them and her mom said that they were ripped and gotten thrown away. J said that next time she saw her mom, they'd have to go get her boots then. Her mom said "Well, tell your dad to get you boots because I can't afford it. It's a strain on me financially just coming to see you"
I got pissed off all over again. Um, she lives 5 minutes down the road from us. Not exaggerating. Bee has offered to drop J off there, but she says no. She's already dropped her visitation back to Wednesday's and every other Saturday. As for the boots? J saw a pair she liked for $26.00. Twenty Six American dollars. It's your KID for goodness sake. She is not working, but she gets SSI AND WELFARE. For Both kids. Neither of which live with her right now. Even when she lived with her mom, Bee paid for everything for J. Everything. We still pay for everything except we get nothing other than our paychecks in which we earned, by you know, working. Bee and I are not in dire straights or anything, but at the end of the month, while we can say that every last bill is paid and current, we have VERY little left over to do things with. Like, buy new boots. Or Go out to eat. Or buy more than just the essentials at the grocery store.
You know, I might not have birthed these kids out of my body, but I sure love them enough to sacrifice things I want or even need, to make sure they have what they need.
But, then again, I guess that's why both of these women leave it up to me to take care of their kids.
Worthless....

"What am I to tell my children when they ask me how it is you can spend $70.00 on a video game, but can't afford the $6.00 a week to allow the service on your phone to accept my phone calls? How come it's ok for their Sister to talk to HER mother on a phone you pay for , but I can't talk to mine? It's HER and her HATE for me, isn't it? That's not fair. I pay $5.00 a call, you can at least be human enough to pay $1.50 a week to let me talk to my kids".This pissed me off for several reasons. One. That's between YOU and Bee. Not the kids. Don't write that stuff on their letters. Two. It's a hell of a lot more than $6.00 a month for her to call on our phone. It's like $150.00. I'll be damned if I am going to pay that. I might consider it if she wasn't such a suckhole. Three. The phone is in MY name, if she has a problem with the above, she can take it up with ME. If she keeps it up, I'll block every number coming out of that place. Her mom's too. NONE of them will be able to call the house. Four. J gets to talk to her mom whenever she wants because she is NOT an asshat AND because her calls are FREE because SHE is not in PRISON!
I also told be I was sick of it. Sick of being disrespected in my own house like that. He called C and Little Man together and told them to stop telling their mother what she wants to hear. Oohhhh!!!! The weather outside is frightful!
So, only in a city bordered by a large body of water can you have weather like this. Yesterday it was 60. Today? 32 for the high. It rained buckets last night. Today, snow.
Bee asked me last night "Baby, how much more rain do you think we'll get before I need to start making us an ark?" to which I replied "not to worry, my love. By morning, it will be snow. Just like in the "Day After Tomorrow", it will change over night and we will have snow up to our eyeballs. Then, we will need lame and whiny Jake Gyllenhaal to tell us to burn books to stay alive."
Seriously, that's all I got out of that movie. Though, it was pretty sweet seeing that big wave take out New York. Oo! and that one guy fall through the glass roof of the mall.
Good Times.
Anyway, we woke up and there it was. All 2cm of it. The white stuff all over the ground. Normally, snow and I are not on speaking terms. I don't like it's coldness, or the fact it coves everything including my car, and I have to forcibly remove it from my presence. I don't like it's slick cousin "ice" either (though, I DID manage to slip and fall, on WATER in a PUDDLE in the parking lot of the HOSPITAL my dad works at yesterday. It was 60 degrees, so I can't blame the ice...)
But this year is a little different. Little Man saw the snow and was tickled pink. He ran outside and started trying to form snowballs, trying to catch it on his tongue, and belly laughing the whole time. Made me remember how much I used to love snow. So, I've decided that Snow may come and it may stay, but only if agrees to go away and take the cold and ice with it come February 1st.
I am thinking I might even go hog wild and purchase a sled.....ooohhh Lordy....
