It was sooo busy and we were rarely alone! haha! Bee's team mate who is also a good friend of ours, is kinda down on his luck. When he was in high school, he played football for one of the best high schools around town. He was a starter and was really good. So good, that he drew the attention of some big name Colleges. He was even offered a full ride to one of them. He accepted and had big plans for the following fall. That's when his life changed. His girlfriend had gotten pregnant.
They all sat down and talked and discussed the best course of action was for her to give it up for adoption. Well, long story short, she decided to hold the baby and after that couldn't give it back. Our friend did what every responsible man should do, and gave up all of his hopes and dreams to be here, with her, and the baby. He got a job and hoped that someday, he could make it to college.
Fast forward two years later. She cheated on him, they broke up, she went to community college, and as of a month ago, showed up on his mom's doorstep where he lived and said, "Here. YOU take him. I'm done with this whole "Mommy" thing", and walked away. A month later after him, the baby, and his mom moved, and after getting them all moved in, His mom says, "yeah, I can't take you AND the baby living here. You'll have to leave." So, unbeknownst to us, him and his 2 year old have been living in Hotels. He was telling us this on Saturday at the football game. Apparently, he got an apartment, but can't move in until July 1st.
That's when the light bulb went off! I have a perfectly nice, fully furnished apartment, sitting unused! I pay for it and it's utilities every month, without fail and on time to keep up my credit because I am under a lease. So, I offered up to him my apartment for as long as he needs it. I am charging him $250.00 to stay there until July. It helps him out because him and Mason have a real place to stay that has a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, along with laundry facilities, and for waaaaay cheaper than a Motel (safer, cleaner and quieter too), and I am getting help with the rent. At least for one month anyway ;)
So, last night after work, I went to my apartment and straightened up, made the bed, and grabbed enough stuff to where I wouldn't have to be there for a month. Checked my mail, and got my jury duty check! yay! Drove back out to Bee's, and we were planning on jumping on the bike and going to dinner at Quaker State and Lube before meeting up with Keith. However, Bee tried starting the bike and it wouldn't start. The battery was dead :( He jumped it and it started, but wouldn't hold a charge. He needs a new battery :( We were sooo bummed.
We hopped in his truck and drove to the skating rink to drop of game film to a former team mate who now plays for someone else. You see, I do such a good job at filming that even the other teams want copies of my DVD's! Then we went to dinner at the Lube. While we were there, another player showed up to pick up game film (he does our stats for reporting to the league) He ended up staying the whole time we were eating. I didn't mind him being there, but he was sick! He would at least turn away from the table and cover his mouth when he coughed...but still! Then, after we ate, we headed out to my apartment to meet with Keith to give him the keys and get him situated.
By the time we made it home, it was 10:30. We did a few things we needed to get done before today (burned some more game DVD's, and Bee took a few phone calls) and we finally made it to bed around midnight! It was a long and busy evening, but we still managed to make it fun. We even discussed moving and started formulating a plan as to what we are going to do. :)
Tonight is practice and Caitlyn is riding with her boyfriend. I feel really bad because Bee has been itching to ride his motorcycle. It's supposed to be beautiful today, and he doesn't have to give anyone a ride. It would be a PERFECT day to take the bike, but alas it has a dead battery. Oh well, maybe next time!

Wonderful Weekend Wee-Cap...err, I mean Recap :)
Last week seemed to fly by since we were all off Monday. Weird though, because coming back after a holiday weekend usually makes the week drag. Friday night, Bee called me on my way home from work. He was all up in a tizzy because the field we were going to be using for Saturday's game, our Home Opener that wasn't at home due to Scheduling conflicts with the school where we play, wasn't ready. Worse yet, since it was Friday night and all of the maintenance people are now gone for the evening, it was OUR responsibility to get it ready.
We usually have a 7pm home game start time because our stadium as lights. However, since this field did not, we were at 4pm. They had mowed the lawn for us, but did not pick up the grass clippings, so at 6:30pm Friday night, Bee, the kiddos, Bee's co-owner, his wife, their kids, and yours truly were out there raking grass off of the field.
We had a leaf blower, and three rakes, so the kiddos played, and the two oldest boys and myself raked while Bee worked the leaf blower and his co-owner and wife started marking the field. It was hot. The temperature wasn't as bad as the humidity, but we survived. We managed to get most of it, but still had to come back in the morning. Bee and I went home and ate (kiddo's left early with the other kids and ate), and then went to bed, only to get up at 6:30am to be back at the field by 7am. We finally got it all raked and lined and it looked pretty decent :)
We then had enough time to grab a bite to eat, run home, shower, and get ready for the game. The game started and while we showed promise in the first half, we lost it, and ended up losing the game 22-7. However, my girl Caitlyn, our kicker, who I love like my own child, kicked and made her very first field goal!!! Words can not express the feelings of accomplishment that she felt, the team felt, and I felt!! I even teared up when it happened! haha! She had been practicing so hard and working with the other kickers. When she nailed that extra point and split the uprights, that little stadium erupted into cheering, mostly from her team mates, and I think they literally carried her off the field on their shoulders! On the side lines there were lots of high fives, helmet slapping, and face mask grabbing of my little Caitlyn. That's it, she's one of them now. :) She is also the first female in the history of semi-pro football to score any points. Way to go Caitlyn!!! Enjoy your piece of Semi-Pro History :)
After the game was over, I ran onto the field and kissed my Bee good bye, and got in the car and headed out to BFF Rose's Sister's house. When I arrived, we had cake and ice cream to celebrate both BFF Rose's son and BFF Rose's nephew's graduation. Then we spent some time visiting and hanging out with her family. Her mom and dad were in from Florida and her Grandma and Grandpa (who are in their 90's!) were in from Arizona. After we spent some time hanging out with them, we stopped off at this bar we used to hang out at all the time to see if anyone we knew was there. Plus, there is a cute bouncer there that has the hots for me (He's married. I have a Boyfriend. We both love our partners and would NEVER cheat...but it's fun to flirt and be flirted with sometimes :) ) We chatted with him, shared a red bull (Alcohol and I are on a "break" lol!) then headed home because after being up at 6:30am, by 1am, it had been a looonnngg day!

We got up and were out of the house by 9am. We stopped and got dunkin Donut's coffee (my fav!) and headed back to BFF Rose's sisters house for breakfast. Once we ate and got the graduate motivated to get dressed and out the door, we were on the road! There were 599 kids in his class!!! The ceremony was held down town at the Convocation center. We had some time to kill after dropping him off, so BFF Rose and I went to visit my brother at work (he works across the street). It was good to see him. He seems to be handling the loss of his friend ok, which makes me feel better

BFF Rose's son graduated with honors and it was a very emotional moment for my friend to watch her one and only child graduate High School. I am glad I was invited to be there and share in the moment. :) It made me think too. I was a junior in high school when he STARTED kindergarten :) I met her when he was just 11 years old :) Hehe :) He is off to college to room with his best friend and cousin. It's only an hour away, so he'll be close in case he "needs" his mom, or she needs him lol! Afterwards, we went out to a hibachi restaurant where we shared good foods and many laughs!

Apparently, seeing me made my brother remember to go visit my mom and dad. lol! So, he did, and my sister sent me this! All I can say is my brother makes beautiful babies! ;)

I REALLY missed Bee. :) I mean, I had a great time with BFF Rose and I can't wait until we get some more girl time together, but I just wish she lived closer so I could get my alone "friend time" with her, yet still make it back to go to bed with Bee for the night. Bed time is Bee's and mine couple time. It's the only time of the day where it's just us and it's when we have our little talks and love on and bond with each other (I'm not even talking about sex, in fact, that rarely happens at "bed time" for us lol!). However, we should have more of that alone couple bonding time over the next few weeks because "Her" parents asked to have the kids for a few weeks to take them camping, to see their mother, and to do other fun summer things with them. Bee dropped them off Sunday afternoon and so now we are kid-free for at least the next 2 weeks. In this time, Bee promised me : Motorcycle rides, date nights filled with dinner and movies, and time spent dedicated to the house and getting it sorted and packed! YAY!
All in all, it was a great weekend filled with fun, friends, bonding, and love and I can't wait to see what next weekend has in store!!

A sad and tragic loss...
We just found out today that one of my brothers friends, Ray, passed away at the young age of 23 last night. He was in North Carolina with some friends for vacation when he had a massive seizure and went into cardiac arrest. They were not able to get him to a hospital fast enough.
I spoke with my brother this morning and he believes it was probably due to the fact that Ray had Diabetes and was most likely drinking all day with his buddies on the beach, having fun in the hot sun and not paying attention to the fact he needed to eat, check his blood sugars, and the fact he was consuming alcohol. Either way, it's a sad, sad, sad day where I grew up.
We live(d) (I don't currently, and neither does my brother, still live there. However, we aren't far, and our parents still live there) in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I personally did not go to school with Ray because I am 7 years older than he is, but I went to school with, and was close with, his older brother. Everyone in my town knows his family. They are known for being loving, good hearted people who are very close with one another. I feel soo bad for Mrs. C. and Ray's dad and brothers.
It's kind of strange though. I graduated with 124 other students. In the now 11 years since my graduation, only one has passed away. He died of cancer, but had been sick with it most of his life. Still is a sad thing, but not really a shocker. My brother on the other hand, just in his close circle of friends from high school (about 8 guys), 3 have passed, and they have been at intervals of one every three years. First was Chris, of a suicide, while they were in their senior year, then Danny three years later in Iraq, and now Ray.
My heart hurts for Ray's family and loved ones. For my brother, to know so much loss in his short 23 years, and the people of my small town who have lost another one of our sons. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Memorial Day...in PICTURES! :)
On Monday, Memorial Day, the football team was asked to walk in the Parade. This is our second year walking in this parade...followed by our second annual BBQ at Tuckers House. It did rain for about 2 hours, 45 minutes of which it was thundering and lightning, but as soon as that nasty business stopped, the kids were right back in the pool....rain or not! We had a great time, as always, with our football family! I can't say it enough, these guys are all very special to Bee and myself. We look forward to seeing them all again on Saturday when we take on the Disciples!
(Side Note: This is only a small smattering of the players on the roster. We have about 50-60 guys who play for the team. Also, with the exception of our female kicker (in the pink bathing suit below) there are no females on the team. The girls so see in jersey's are players' wives or in my case, girlfriend :) I'm wearing #60 and Bee is too...just in case you are wondering ;) )

My Day Book Entry #11
Today is...
June 2nd, 2010
Outside My Window...
Overcast and about 70 degrees. We are supposed to see 83, but with Thunderstorms. I can handle that :)
I am Thinking...
that is had been a very busy and stressful week. I haven't written much, and I miss it. I'm coming back lovey's. Really, I am! On one hand, I created this blog to express my feelings, to vent, and to keep track of my family and how we grow and change everyday. I am not the best at expressing my feelings in person, so I thought this blog would help. However, I don't want every entry to be a venting entry, or only filled with negative things, because my life is actually the opposite...I have a wonderful life, and wonderful family and friends...but when there is only negative on your mind....hence why I took my short little break. I plan on discussing the bad stuff, but wanted to wait until I could do it from the "other side", or when I am feeling more positive :)
I am thankful for...
the fact that no matter what, my Bee loves me and chooses to be with me, and I love him and choose to be with him.
What I have learned this week...
That no matter how much we fight, what we fight about, how angry and frustrated we get, it all still comes from how much we love each other and after it's all out of our system, and we've cried, yelled, pounded our fists, we can STILL look at each other and kiss the tears away and apologize. Apologize, and mean it. And then curl up and hold each other tight as we sleep. I guess we both have a hard time expressing ourselves in the correct way.
We are laid back people who socialize easily, but when it's time to get to the root of things, we are afraid to say what's on our hearts and minds for fear of rejection, or hurting the other person. We bottle it up, shove it back down, and it builds up over time until eventually it explodes into a hale storm of random and misplaced anger. As a couple, we need to work on that.
I am wearing...
Jean Skirt, Black Sandals, black flowy top and a purple 3/4 length light sweater.
I am creating...
this blog entry ;)
I am going...
to spend Saturday evening (after I film Bee's Game) with BFF Rose at her house. Girl time. Then, Sunday we are going to her son's graduation from High School! The whole BFF Rose family will be in town!!! Yay! (I was a week off. Graduation is this weekend, not last.)
I am reading...
My Facebook Updates. Ah, Gotta love the Faceboo as Bee and I call it. I personally just like the word FACE and think it should always be in all capital letters. lol!
I am hoping...
to be able to give Bee a little alone time, sometime in the next few days on the Motorcycle. He's been wanting to get on it and ride! I LOVE riding on the bike. If you read my big huge long entry on how I met Bee, the fact he HAD one was the only reason I even really took down his number. One of the things we fought about this weekend was how he wants to get on the bike and ride...by HIMSELF. He needs me to watch the kids. HIS kids. This upsets me because while I don't mind watching the kids for him, I want to go on the bike with him. But, while I am selfish when it comes to him and can admit that, (I mean, I have to share him IE: His attention, with work, his kids, Football, Football players, Football coaches from both his team and his daughters, Football team matters, AND his friends and family, there is literally a total of one hour a day that is just mine. But, I have to share that with the fact that he has to sleep too...) he is a guy. While not ALL guys require it, most feel the need for at least a couple hours a month of alone time, or guy time, or whatever it is they want to call it and honestly, if it puts him in a better and more relaxed mood, then so be it.
I am hearing...
The crunch of the ice that I am chewing on, people talking. Usual office banter.
Around the House...
Well, Kids have two more days of school left. I am still not too sure about what we are going to do with them on Mondays and Fridays....but that's how my Bee works. See, if they were MY children, summer child care would have been settled and taken care of back in March....but that's how I roll. He's more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of guy. It pretty much drives me crazy, but in the end, it always works out for him. I am sure between Grandma Bee, the ex-'s parents, and his 16 year old, he'll have it worked out. On the days he doesn't, well.....his boss is pretty understanding and he usually takes them to work with him. I got the final ok to take off the very last week of June/first week of July for Arizona so I am pretty excited about that. I am getting a little stressed though because my lease at my apartment is up on September 1st. I have to give them about 60days notice that I am not renewing. I have to pack. We have to pack Bee's house. We still don't even know 100% if we are going to Arizona by the end of this year...I just have a feeling it's all going to come to a head at once and we are going to be forced to run around like crazy people between packing my place, packing his place, football, work, and moving (weather it's moving someplace around here or to Arizona). I hate disorganization. I really do.
One of my Favorite things this week...
Well, by far my THREE favorite things this week were: Sunday night, after fighting Friday night, Saturday night, and part of Sunday, Bee was playing Xbox and I was sitting there watching him when he told me softly, "Pick up that controller". I did, and we played Call of Duty for two hours. He WHOOPED my butt big time, but honestly, I think it was the most fun he has ever had playing that game...or at the very least, the most fun he has had with ME doing stuff together. After he gave me the beating of a lifetime and our sides hurt so bad from laughing, we played his new racing game and I whooped him! It was awesome! I don't really like competition. I guess it's because I don't like to get my hopes up on winning, only to be let down if it doesn't happen. So, I usually just "watch". However, it the fact that I was beating HIM at his racing game, Mr. I-am-Really-Good-At-Video-Games, was a great feeling. I think it even gave him a new respect for me :) My Second favorite thing was on Monday morning when someone was giving away free kittens at the parade, Bee said I could have one. I have wanted a kitten for like two years! Well, really, my whole life. My mom and sister are allergic so when I lived at home, it was a definite no. Then, my roommate had a cat and she said no. Then, I found a stray she let me keep, but that kitten passed away after a few months...I have wanted one ever since and Bee has said no...or "maybe when we move". However, I turned down the free kittens because moving with a pet sucks, We had 10+ hours before we were going to be home and we had no food/litter box and I wasn't going to look for one at 10pm on Memorial day. and the Final thing was when Bee and I were fighting on Monday night, I told him I was "going home" to my apartment and he kept telling me "You ARE home! THIS is your home! Your HOME is where your FAMILY is and Me and the kids are your FAMILY!" That's the first time he has referred to us that way.
A Picture Thought...
A Picture Thought...
"C" jumped at the chance to bury Little Man at the Beach on Saturday! One more thing to add to my "Your a Mom now, dumbass" checklist....Ahem, MAKE kids SHOWER after swimming in the lake all day. I didn't think to make them do that and poor Little Man got a rash on his face from the ickies in the lake!

Itsy Bitsy Spider...
I have a long standing hatred for bugs. I don't mind RED lady bugs too much, and lightning bugs are pretty, from a distance....at night....butterflies are pretty too, and I hate Bee's (well, except for mine ;) ) and you can just forget about spiders...however, if any of them touch me, I freak out. I mean, I love camping, but my hatred for bugs is why I prefer being drunk when I camp lol!
Anyway, Bee and I live in a house that is pretty much in the woods. There is also a creek about 15 feet from the back of the house. So, as you can imagine, we are like a mecca for bugs. Specifically, right now, ants and spiders. If you know anything about these two bugs, you will know that they are arch enemies! Because the ground is drying out, we are being infested with ants. Big, black, fat-bottomed, ugly, super fast crawling ants that crunch when you squish them. Couple that with the fact there are two children running around under the age of 10 who can't seem to get food or drink, especially the kinds filled with sugar, in their mouths. It ends up on the floor, and if I am not there at that very second, the ants create a flash-mob, and swarm in. For this fact alone, the spiders in my house and I have a pact. Do your job and kill the ants, stay at least an arms length away from me, and never ever ever touch me, and you may live another spidery day.
So, this morning, I turn the shower on, undress, and step into the shower. I am immediately face to face with probably the worlds biggest daddy long legs spider! It scared me so bad I nearly jumped out of my skin! However, he was up on the wall near the shower head and he was holding onto what appeared to be a giant, silk-wrapped ant! I believe I interrupted his breakfast. So, With eyes locked firmly on him, I decided to hurry and shower and leave him be. However, he decided to high-tail it out of there (apparently, he either likes to eat alone or didn't like seeing me naked! lol) and started crawling along the wall. Well, he was dragging this massive ant with him and it was starting to get steamy and he kept losing his footing and slipping...then he'd catch himself...all while I talked to him..
"Dude. Just chill! I'll be done in like 5 minutes, then the shower is all yours! Ah! Dude! I just said....seriously, if you keep that up...ahhhh! Ok, ok, stop that! You're gonna fall! If you fall...or even touch the bathtub surround, I'm going to have to wash you down the drain...and I REALLY don't want to...looks like you've worked hard on that...hey! hey! Stay there!"
He didn't listen. He kept trying to scurry away. And, that's when it happened. He dropped his award winning kill. It hit the shower floor at the back of the shower. Now, let me just tell you, I don't know if a spider has facial expressions, or emotions...but he just stayed there..."staring" at the ground....and I could only imagine how pissed he was. If he could have smacked his spidery head, I bet you he would have. He just stayed there for like 5 minutes...just staring. Then he crawled up in the corner and I really think he was pouting!!
At that point, even though he was dangerously close to me, I couldn't kill him. I really felt bad. After I got out of the shower, he started working his way down to where his yummy breakfast lay, soaked with shower water. I think he was thinking, "I worked too damn hard for that!" Haha!
I really hope he was still able to eat it!

My Daybook #10
Today is...
May 26th, 2010
Outside My Window...
Sunny and Warm!!! It's 80 degrees today! It was 89 Degrees yesterday! Woo Hoo Early Summer!
I am Thinking...
About how wonderful this weather is, how my first day back at work was boring and I miss Jury Duty, and how I can't wait for the holiday weekend!
I am thankful for...
the beautiful weather, the ability to get caught up on a week's worth of work in one day, and that, unlike our defendant, I am on the right side of the law..
What I have learned this week...
When I get tired lately (at like, 9:00pm) I get super irritable.... just like a child...
I am wearing...
Jeans, sandals, Purple tank top, and black 3/4 length sleeved shirt. Yay! No Brown!
I am creating...
I am creating...
A menu in my head for the week. I wish someone would just tell me what to make! lol!
I am going...
I am going...
to spend Saturday evening with BFF Rose at her house. Little Girl time. Then, Sunday we are going to her son's graduation from High School! The whole BFF Rose family will be in town!!! Yay! Then, Monday, we have the Parade for the local town we live in for Memorial Day. Bee's Football Team is walking in it, handing out candy and game tickets! Then, BBQ at Tuckers!
I am reading...
Let's face it....I'm not reading much of anything right now. LOL
I am hoping...
to spend time with all my loved ones, equally, this long weekend.
I am hearing...
my boss talking, the clock ticking it's way till 5pm!
Around the House...
Around the House...
Well, Kiddos had their field day today. Always an exciting day in our sports orientated house. About 7 more days of school and "C" is super excited because Bee told her she would be going to a couple Football Camps this summer and that Grandma was taking her and Little Man RV'ing this summer. Bee has the parade for Memorial day that we will be walking in, and I have BFF Rose's son's Graduation. Summer is upon us, folks. I love summer right in it's FACE, but it's also so busy. I can't wait to start hitting farmers markets, and fruits and vegetable stands that litter the roads out by Bee! There is nothing like steak on the grill, and fresh fruits and veggies on a warm summer evening!
One of my Favorite things this week...
Hmmmm...Eating lunch outside today!
A Picture Thought...
This is Bee and our "adopted Daughter". She is the kicker for the football team. She is 18 and has taken to Bee and I as "Cool older people to hang with". She calls us "Mom and Dad" LOL! (I have to keep reminding her...Bee could totally be her dad, but I would have only been 10 or 11 when she was born ;) )

Annnnd, I'm back!
Whew! What a week! I feel bad that I didn't get to update much, but between waking up at 5am, being downtown all day, and then coming home and taking care of my family, by the time I got to sit down at the computer, I was exhausted!
I ended up on a case! It was a criminal case. Our defendant was arrested and charged with Solicitation of a Police officer and possession of heroin. We found her guilty, but not until we deliberated for over two hours. After the case was over, we found out that she had a long record of drug and prostitution charges. I hope she gets the help she needs. Seriously. She has an infant daughter, and her boyfriend was willing to lie under oath for her he loves her so much. My heart just broke for her seeing her in the state she was in. She was a young girl too...

The whole jury duty experience was fun. I highly suggest that if you get called, you don't dread it. It takes you out of your element for a week, you get to meet people of all walks of life and you get to give back to your community. Plus, the court system is very interesting! Plus, if you are like me, you get to spend a week in downtown! What a beautiful city I live in! On Friday, we even h
ad the opportunity to have the Policeman's Memorial take place. There was a parade, hundreds, and hundreds of police vehicles and mounted police. We had police from as far as Toronto, Canada. It was a wonderful way to spend my lunch that day.
As for around our house, life is pretty much status quo. Bee had his season opener on Saturday. They lost. There were lots of play calling issues. Everyone was all up in arms over it but, that just means they all need to show up to practice and work harder. Kiddos are almost done with school and are looking forward to having their summer break. We still aren't 100% on how we are going to handle childcare two days a week, but we'll figure it out.
So, that's really about it. I am still really tired from switching schedules so I think I am going to go enjoy my last day before going back to work!

My Daybook Entry #9
Today is...
May 20th, 2010
Outside My Window...
Sunny and Brisk. It should hit 80 degrees today!
I am Thinking...
About how certain things about Bee still irritate me. Such as, his ex-wife writes him love letters from prison and he does nothing about it. Won't send them back. Won't tell her to stop. Yet, doesn't like that she sends them. It's like, she is your EX WIFE. Why are you still letting her have you by the balls and control your life like you did when you were married??
I am thankful for...
having a beautiful week of weather for Jury Duty this week!!
What I have learned this week...
the older I get, the less patience I have for stupidity.
I am wearing...
Jeans, Flip Flops, Blue T-shirt, and green Windbreaker.
I am creating...
new friendships with my other jurors!

to hopefully get on a case this week! And I am attending Bee's first game of the actual season of the game!
I am reading..."Two from Galilee" by Marjorie Holmes. Still. I am trying to find time to read, but it's hard. When I do find time to read, I find myself wanting to do other things.
I am hoping...
to get on a case!!! And, get some other pictures from downtown :)
I am hearing...

Bee is gearing up for the first real game of the season and the kiddos are enjoying their last
few weeks of school with lots of field trips and fun stuff. I am on Jury duty and enjoying this experience again. I also am loving the fact the weather is warming up. Can't wait for summer to come!

OMG!
I haven't blogged since Friday! Yeah, Slacker. I know. There are a couple of reasons. One, I didn't really know what to say. Well, more like how to compose it so it would be worth reading and not just facts spewed onto my computer screen. Annd, I just wasn't feelin it, ha!
Listen, I realize I am not "old", but I am reaching an age where I am not a "young adult" anymore. I am a full on, have-way-too-many-responsibilities-to-be-immature, adult. Basically, what I am saying is holy crap, I can not party like I used to. Wait, rephrase that. I can totally party like I used to. However, the recovery period is longer, and more devastating ;)
Friday night, I was super tired. Not really sure why so, I am going to blame the weather. It's been raining and cloudy for like twenty seven weeks it seems like. So, Bee, the Kiddo's, and I stayed close to home. However, apparently house work does not do itself and my BFF Rose can't seem to find where she misplaced her magic wand that makes all things "better", so I figured since she was going to be coming over this weekend and the house was a wreck, I should probably clean. So, I did. I cleaned for two hours making it all nice and neat in the house. Kiddo's saw the look in my eye and instantly ran for their bedrooms. Bee played X-box. Whateve. I like cleaning myself anyway. Seriously. I finished up, and then made some dinner. We ate. We lounged. I had a couple glasses of wine, and then we went to bed.

Saturday started out early. Well, for Bee anyway. He woke up around seven-ish. He told me his back was hurting a lot and he couldn't lay in bed any longer (besides, to a man who wakes up at 4:45am every day, 7am is sleeping in) Usually, I will get up with him, but Saturday I was tired and said "ok" and rolled back over and went back to sleep. I made it till 9am when hearing him kill bad guys in the other room finally woke me up. Then I proceeded to get ready, because we had a fundraiser for the team to attend at noon that went alllll day.

Everyone else got ready and we were out the door by 11:30. Luckily, the weather was decent. A little chilly for my liking, by then again, I wear a jacket when it's 80. This was our Volley Ball and Corn hole Tournament fundraiser with all you can eat BBQ. This was a HUGE money maker last year. And...Well....this year? It was a total flop :( We had 80-100 people last year. This year we had about 17. Of that 17, maybe 6 guys who were players for our team showed. We had 3 players from the team we are playing this weekend, and the rest were family/friends of the players that showed up. We were so disappointed. I would really hate to hear the ear lashing the guys are going to get tonight. There is no excuse. It went from 12-9pm. I mean, you can't show and support your team for an hour? They are only hurting themselves because more money we make at fundraisers, the less that comes out of their pockets...but whatever..

BFF Rose came out though. We had a blast. We drank lots (the team got 20% of alcohol sales) and I even managed to get out and play a game of Volley Ball! I haven't played in 15 years probably. I have learned though, that I am still no good at the sport lol! After 9, we left and all went over to another player's house where we continued to drink and then went into the hot tub. After that, Bee drove us all home (he was not drunk like the rest of us). Apparently BBF Rose drunk dialed her ex-bf who has been trying to get her back for months. Told him they should be together. And somehow hers and my bathing suit bottoms ended up in her backseat (We had changed into our street clothes before leaving the house...I don't really remember that though...lol) We came home and went to bed. She crashed on the couch. (PS- The kids left waaay before the drinking started btw)

Sunday, I didn't have a headache or anything, but my tummy was upset and if I bent over, I had the spins. I hate that. I went to the store and got breakfast stuff and made breakfast for everyone. We ate and hung out and BFF Rose left around 1pm. By that time, I felt fine, but I felt as though someone zapped all my energy! I didn't even want to throw shoes on to go get my car that we left at our friends house. Bee felt the same way. We begrudgingly went and got my car and he grabbed Wendy's on the way home. After that, we did not leave our chairs. We quietly played on our laptops and watched T.V. Kiddos cleaned their rooms and hung out outside most of the day. Even when Monday rolled around, I just felt so zapped. I think I am good on drinking for awhile lol!
Monday night I finally felt like I had some energy. Bee and I grabbed the kids and went grocery shopping. We were supposed to do that Sunday, but didn't ave the energy. Afterwards, we took the kids to CiCi's for dinner. CiCi's is a treat in our house. Anytime the kids do something well, clean their rooms, or they celebrate anything, CiCi's is where we go. After dinner, we came home and the kids went to bed and we weren't too far behind them.
Today is my last day of work this week. I have been selected for Jury Duty starting tomorrow. It's for our county court of common pleas, so I am there a whole week regardless. Everyone is giving me their condolences, but really, I am excited! I was on jury duty two years ago and loved it. Wish I had gotten on a case, but none the less, the process fascinated me. I am looking forward to it and I hope I catch a case! ha!
