Ruh Roh...

I got home from work last night to find Little Man at the table doing homework like a fiend and Bee and C in Little Man's room pulling trash and other such stuff out. Dude was in t-r-o-u-b-l-e. Homework. Again.

Sigh.

I am at my wits end with that child. He doesn't do his homework (Hi pot! I'm kettle! But, this isn't about me). It's not that he doesn't know the material. The issue is, he does. He knows it. This is boring to him. He will take any test you give him, that's fine. He will ace it. But Homework? Boring. Beneath him. Waste of time. Why practice at something you already have mastered?

I get it, I do. However, there are things in my life (and yours) that I have mastered. I feel are beneath me (Hello, Filing) and I just plain don't want to do  (ahem. Work, cleaning, cooking, watching that youtube video for the 800th time and pretend it's hilarious) But, I have to do them. It's my job. He needs to learn that too. I don't want to reward him by taking that away. I mean, he would then learn that if there is something I don't want to do, I just need not do it, and they will stop making me do it!

Then, there is the fact that he is trying to tell us something. Something, I think he doesn't even know how to say. He's bored. He needs to be challenged. However, I don't know how to do that. He is lazy. He doesn't like to put forth any extra effort than he already has to. He is as advanced in the advanced class as he can get. He is in all the tier 1 groups. We were told when he was in 2nd grade he was doing 4th grade work and could easily be bumped up a grade. After discussing it, we all decided that's not what we wanted to do. Little Man didn't want to leave his friends and Bee and I thought with him being lazy like he was, making him a small fish in a big pond might be bad for him. Although, this fighting with him to do work he is obviously bored with is no fun either.

Needless to say, there was a lot of yelling, a lot of tears, and a lot of work being done last night. I told him this morning that I was going to be talking to his teachers and we would be discussing him and his homework etc, etc. Then, before I left for work, he came to me telling me his tummy started to hurt really bad.

Sigh.

Visions of cleaning puke up off the floor from the weekend are all still too fresh in my mind. I sent his little butt to school anyway. I told him he could call me anytime before he left for school and I would come back home, but he better be so sick, he can't leave the bathroom. Otherwise, go to school, turn in your homework, and if you get sick, the nurse can call me and I'll come home. Ugh...I REALLY hope he was sick from the trouble he knew he was going to be in and not because he has the stomach flu C had this weekend...

Down for the count...

The weekend started out wonderfully :) The roads weren't a big pile of suck on the way home on Friday, and I made it home in decent time :) I got home and heated up some dinner for my family and got ready to take C to pick up her friend and drop them off at the movies. Also, it was this very moment in time I told C and her friend to behave, don't talk to strangers, and most importantly, NO BOYS and then try and bury the memories I have of telling my parents I was going to the movies with my friends and then after they drove off, meeting up with the group of boys, and instead of watching the movie, we'd all make out with our boyfriends in the back of the theatre. Yes. I was 12. The same age as my daughter is now. The boys? Yeah, like 15. Oh yeah, and we met them off the Internet. *shudder* It still amazes me I made it to 32 without being kidnapped, raped, or killed. Moving on.

I came home and Bee, the Boy, and I left for Bee's practice. It was all I thought it would be. Me, cold and sleepy, them doing boy things and wanting to gab all night. We eventually got in the car to go home, just in time to hear my phone (which I left in the car with an almost dead battery because Little Man played angry birds the whole 35 minute ride to practice) ring and go to voice mail. It was the home phone (ie: C) and she left a voice mail of her crying saying how she got sick at the movies and came home and how she got sick at home and threw up on the couch and she didn't know how to clean it up. I called right back, but she didn't answer. When we got home, we found her throwing up in our bathroom. Luckily, she had gotten sick in front of the couch, on the hard wood floor, and not ON the couch. We cleaned her, and the floor, all up and got her a trashcan. She was feverish and pale. Grreeaatt. Stomach Flu has landed at the Bee household.

Bee and I stayed up with her until 3 am. I ran up to the gas station/mini mart because it was the only thing close and open at 2 am. Got her ginger ale and Gatorade. She threw up till 3, when she finally fell asleep. We waited until 3:30, and then went to bed ourselves. Apparently, she got up right after and was up most of the night dry heaving. Sigh. My poor baby girl. I had a bridal shower for a friend to go to on Saturday afternoon, and when I got home, Bee told me she slept all morning. She was in and out by the time I got home at 5 pm. I made her some chicken broth and crackers to munch on. Which, is exactly what she did. Nibbled here and there, and slept. Little Man went to a friends house to spend the night (he played outside allllll day) and Bee and I canceled our tentative plans and with the exception of running up to Chik-fil-A for a quick run through the drive thru for dinner for us, and did not leave C's side.

On Sunday, we picked the boy up early, and decided to stay home instead of going to church because Bee still wasn't feeling 100%, C was sick, and Little Man had been wearing the same outfit for 3 days (PJ's from PJ day at school) without a bath and there wasn't time for him to get one or even change between picking him up from his buddies house and Church starting. We stopped at the store and I bought stuff for Egg McMuffins and we just kinda chilled. C was feeling better. She finished off the sleeve of crackers and even asked for something else. I upgraded her to toast and chicken broth with noodles. Later, Bee wanted to run to Wally World for Ammo (if that's not the biggest redneck statement you've ever heard, I don't know what is ;)  ) and we all decided to get out and get some fresh air. C seemed to be back at about 75%. After about 30 minutes of shopping, we headed out. Friends of ours moved around the corner (they lived around the other corner before) and wanted us to see the new digs. We stopped by for a few, but after about 20 minutes, C was complaining of a headache and she was all pale again, so we dipped outta there. She came home and laid right back down and fell asleep.

She probably could have gone to school today, but we figured one more day to get her strength up. She has a basketball game tomorrow and really wants to play in it so, she will need all her strength :) I'm praying Bee and I don't get it. Little Man either, but he pretty much wasn't near her at all the whole weekend, so I hope it helps!

As for the rest of the week, Bee has a doctor's appointment for his hernia on Wednesday. I hope they can fix it and he isn't out of work too long :/

T.G.I.F.

Woot! We made it! I made it to work! The roads are going to SUCK on the way home. Meh.

I am slightly sad that my kids will never get to know the true awesome force that was T.G.I.F. programming.  Full House, Perfect Strangers, Family Matters, That one show with Sally Struthers and all the kids...plus that one that lived in the van.

Was it Sally Struthers?

No. No, I had to ask Dr. Google. It was Susanne Somers. Step By Step was the name of the show. It had Patrick Duffy in it. I think it was supposed to be a "modern day" Brady Bunch. Whateves. I liked the kid that lived in his Van.

Anyway, the weekend is finally here. I have football practice with the Bee tonight. Basically, I am going to freeze in a warehouse that has turf. However, I get to spend time with my Bee AND just might be able to convince him he needs to leave early so that he can buy me frozen custard since East Coast Custard re-opens for the season today and I have been craving custard since Christmas.

Saturday, I have a wedding shower/luncheon, and then not really sure what. Bee is supposed to have a play off game in PA for his arena team. However, that whole situation out in PA is wonky and Bee is kinda aggravated with it, so I am not sure we are still going. I'd be ok with NOT going. I mean, I love watching him play, but it's the drive that gets me. On top of that, we give another player a ride so we drive 35 minutes in the WRONG DIRECTION to go get him, then drive back the way we just came, pass the house, and continue on for an hour and 15 minutes. Then, we have to PASS THE HOUSE on the way home, and swing back around. Even when we have the 8 pm game, we don't see home until 1 am. I really want to go to church on Sunday so, I'm kinda hoping we skip out on the game.

I also plan on cleaning some, and training my bangs to lay right :)

Woot Woot! It's Friday! :)

All the white stuff..

Tuesday morning was 40 degrees. And raining.
Tuesday afternoon, it was snowing. And windy as hell.
Driving home from work kinda sucked so I was relieved when Bee said that  C was going to skip out on Civil Air Patrol. However, then she remembered that it was P.T. day and she needed this last P.T. session to qualify for her promotion that she is getting at the end of the month.

Sigh.

Bee is sick. He has this God awful cough. And Pink Eye. And Snot combo going. He hasn't even taken a day off of work, but I know he feels like death when he gets home, so I figured I would be flying solo in the running of kids to places department. C and I left and there was a light dusting on our driveway (there was nothing when I got home 30 minutes before) the roads weren't horrible. It was just so gosh darn windy and everything was blowing around. By the time we got off the highway (2 exits down from where we live. It's not like we had to travel super far or anything) the roads were slick. We slip and slided the rest of the way and I dropped her off silently cursing them for not canceling the meeting.

I don't really know what my issue is. I've grown up in this. I have driven in full on blizzards, where there was a driving ban, just to get to a party, or a boy's house and didn't even sweat it. However, since my trip into work a few weeks ago where I couldn't get purchase on the road, I have been a nervous nelly when it comes to the snow. I just don't.want.to.drive.in.it.

Anyway, it was even worse coming home and when I pulled in, the tracks we made when we left where gone and the snow covered my shoes. Bee knows how the snow makes me nervous, so he said he would go pick her up at 9 pm. I didn't want him going by himself because it hadn't stopped since I got home. We went and got her and the roads were ten times worse. We picked her up and made our trek  home and when we finally made it, we went to bed early because he is sick and I am old (hehe).

At 4 am we got the text that school was closed. At 7 am they showed my route to work. It was a parking lot. Accidents, ice, people moving at a crawl. My alternate route was shut down due to bad weather. I said "yeah, no thanks" and called in! I went and told the kids there was no school and there was much rejoicing!

I went back to bed for about an hour, and when I woke up, all was quiet. I looked outside, and this is what I Saw:

My kids are so good :) Actually, that's C and the neighbor kid, but Little Man is out there too. He just wasn't in the picture. Also, maybe I should clean my windows. It wasn't foggy outside or anything lol :) They played out there All. Day. Long. I was one of the few moms that stayed home, so most kids were at my house all day. They were outside though, so I didn't really mind :) My day was spent watching "Medium" on Netflix and cruising Facebook. I did take a break to do a load of laundry, make lunch, and clean my bathroom (a chore I have been avoiding like the plague for a while now).

My Bee finally came home and we were all snug as a bug for the rest of the day. No one had anywhere they needed to be, and we just chilled. In fact, we even manged to get in a family game of LIFE on the xbox!

Then, Thursday had to come and we all had to return to reality. Boo.

What's bad? Friday, a storm is supposed to blow in that is to be 10 times worse.....

Sigh...

Pinterest Yay or Pinterest Nay?

So, I LOVE pinterest. They have so many cool things that I want to try, but not sure how they will turn out. So, as I try them, I will review them on my blog in "Pinterest Yay or Pinterest Nay?"
First?

Sharpie Mug

So, Pinterest claims you can take a sharpie, any sharpie, and draw on a white porcelain mug, and bake it in your oven for a sweet, new, personalized mug. Great for gifts, teachers, etc. I went to the dollar store and bought the last three coffee mugs they had. I had seen some cute mugs they were selling on etsy that I thought I could easily reproduce with this project for way less than the $25 a piece price tag etsy was charging.

I chose to do "1/2 my heart is in" mugs to send to my mom and dad. I printed off the outline of the state of Ohio and Arizona (I made one for myself too ;) ). Then, I set about looking for the directions on my "Crafty McCrafterson" board on Pinterest. I found where I pinned it a few times (I must have really liked the idea lol) However they had slightly different directions. So, after consulting "Dr. Google" as well, I came up with these directions:

  1. You could probably use any color mug, but white was what I chose to start with
  2. Regular sharpie CAN work, but you need to really use the "Paint Pen" Sharpies that are OIL BASED
  3. After you are finished with your mug, you need to bake it in a PREHEATED oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Then, turn off the oven and walk away. LET THEM COOL IN THE OVEN. I did mine right before we went to bed. They cooled all night long in the oven
I rubbed my fingers along the paint the next day. It seems to be on there for good, however, I don't really want to trust it to the dishwasher. I will be hand washing my mugs, and will tell my parents to do so as well. As an after thought, you probably could put some clear coat over the paint too and bake them again if you are really worried about it. (I'm not....)

This is how they turned out:
my curtains are sexy, admit it....

So, in my opinion? This is a PINTEREST YAY!!!! :)

All is right in my world :)

If you walked past my house at around 6:30 pm last night you would have heard massive gun fire, bombs exploding, the windows rattling, and shouts of "THAT'S BULLSH*$%T!" and "Aw COME ON!!!". Yes, my lovey arrived home from his weekend away hunting/camping. As become the tradition, the only thing they managed to kill (and there were 21 of them this time) was a whole lot of Crown Royal. *shudders* I can't do crown. Makes me want to vomit in my mouth just thinking about it.

Anyway...my baby is home :) Lots of dirty, muddy, laundry, but he is home safe. With a cold. And pink eye. Sigh....luckily, since I am prone to getting pink eye, I keep a bottle of antibiotic eye drops handy. Sometime around Saturday night/Sunday morning I was starting to feel a bit icky too, but so far it hasn't actually turned into anything. We shall see.

My weekend was awesome in it's own right, even though my sweet Bee was absent. Friday night, T and I went to dinner and had some much needed girl talk. Ruby Tuesdays is always aces in my book. C went to the boys varsity basketball game while I was at dinner and little man played at T's house with her kids (driving her husband insane I'm sure) After dinner, we picked up C and dropped off Miss. T, and headed home (right around the corner). Bff Rose came out shortly after that and after a few beers, we headed to bed.

Because we are super old, we were in bed by midnight, but up by 8:45 am. We drank coffee and chatted while the kids played outside in the snow. Then we headed off to the salon to get new hair!!

I kinda heart it :) I mean, I walked in there thinking I needed it dyed and trimmed because I just was now able to put it up in a ponytail when something inside said "cut it all off" so I did. I wanted the style I had when I met Bee. I showed my friend (same girl who did my hair for the wedding) and she glanced at it and said "Oh yeah. A crop" and gave me this. This is not what I had when I met Bee. But, whatevs. It's still really cute. Bee likes it, I like it, and so do most people who have seen it. Though, went I went to go get C from a party she was at last night, one of the basketball moms said, "Oh! You cut all your hair off!" I said, "yeah, I wanted a change" and she said, "Well, it sure looks different". Not really what you want to hear when it's 10pm on a Sunday night and you are exhausted/on the verge of sick and wanted to go to bed 3 hours ago, but had to come get your kid from this party and wearing your pajama's thinking your kid would be watching for you since you said you would be there at 10pm, but no, so you had to actually ring the doorbell, only to be surprised by the fact that the mom's of all the girls from the team were there and drinking wine without you looking all nice, and yeah, you are in dumpy too-big-for-you sweatpants, uggs, and a stained t-shirt. Sigh. It's like high school all over again. Whatever. I like my hair. :)

I look forward to the week. We don't have basketball with little man anymore so, it will make the evenings way easier! :)

A Whole Lotta Love!

Well I took yesterday off!

It was lovely! Busy.... but lovely none the less. :)

Chubbs says "Happy Valentine's Day."

I started my day off at 5 am (for those playing along at home, that's an hour and fifteen minutes earlier than I start my day when I have to work.) I woke up and waited for my lovey to get in the shower. Then, I put my jammies on and went out and made him breakfast sandwiches from scratch! I even warmed up his coat in the dryer :) I kissed him 42 times and handed him his candy heart I bought him as well :)

After he left, I started gathering my supplies to make pancakes for my kiddos :) Then, it dawned on me that I was out of milk. So, I threw on my boots and ran up to Sheetz. Came home in time to wake C up and start in on breakfast. While at Sheetz getting milk, I even picked up two fresh (and really cute) Valentine's Day donuts. I also had candy hearts for my kids too! They really enjoyed the morning :) (Interestingly enough, C told me later, she hustled at school and traded her chocolate heart with 8 pieces of candy in it for two "family size" bags of skittles and a bag of sweet-tarts...sigh...lol!)

After they left for school, I sat and watched a little bit of TV, before having to go get C at 10 am from school for our 11 am dentist appointment.( Our Dentist is an HOUR away)  I'm not going to lie. I was nervous. I really don't like going to the dentist. I tried to put on a happy face though because C was the one with the tooth pain and she was nervous too. I am happy to report, it turned out fine. Well, mostly. haha. C's tooth is fine, as in no cavity, no need for a root canal (which we thought she might need), The problem is, she needs...BRACES! Oh, em. Gee. Dr. Tom says it's hurting her because it's sitting to high and when she got elbowed in the mouth playing basketball, it never really got to recover because it's too high and banging around when she eats etc so it's always sore. He filed it down so it wouldn't hit when she ate and we need to come back this summer for the starting steps for braces. Sigh.

As for me, I still need $10,000 worth of work. He worked some "magic" (IE: He is doing it Pro-Bono) and next month I get to come spend a Saturday with him and get my mouth "fixed" for... FREE. Seriously, I cried. And hugged him. And thanked him. This removes a HUGE burden from my shoulders. He said, it would help out if I could pay the lab fee, which he won't know what it is until after he is done, but that it's usually between $50.00 and $600.00. If not though, it was fine. I told him for everything he IS doing and HAS done for me and my family, I would gladly pay that. Not looking forward to wasting a Saturday getting Dental work done, but if it will GET IT DONE AND OVER WITH, I will do whatever. :)

After our tantalizing hour with Dr. Tom, We loaded up for our hour long drive back home. We stopped half way and got lunch and I dropped C back off at school. I ran home and threw dinner in the crock pot and then hit the Grocery store because I needed juice boxes for Little Man's party! Then, it was off to the school to party like a 4th grader! :) I was a little sad because this is the last year for classroom parties for my little guy. I was all nostalgic with the other moms and he was too busy looking like a homeless kid and being hopped up on sugar and excitement of a 4 day weekend. Someday soon, hopefully, Bee and I will have our baby and I will get to be a room mom once again, but this was my last party with Little Man and I was trying to enjoy every moment :)

After the party, I grabbed my boy and we ran home. When we got there, Grandma Bee was over! She was going to attend the 7th grade girls Basketball game with us! I walked in and sitting on the counter was this...

I was busy and my phone was dying or else I would have taken a better picture :D
My lovey had finally given in to my nagging,  stopped off at a REAL florist and bought me this very thoughtful bouquet of roses! This is HUGE for him because he NEVER NEVER NEVER buys flowers. A plant, maybe...but never flowers like this. Two, because he hates Valentines day and has spent all week lamenting the fact it's a made up holiday to make guys feel bad and why, if he loves me to the fullest every day, should he cheapen it by doing something this ONE day....whatever. I just wanted an acknowledgement. He did good :) Although, it could be because he felt bad that I made a nice dinner and wanted us all to eat together with Grandma Bee for Valentine's day and he was leaving out at 6 pm for a weekend with the guys hunting and camping and I was kinda upset he was leaving that early that he figured he should do SOMETHING to make me happy so I wouldn't be upset. However, I am going to go with, He decided to finally "get it". lol :)

C had her game, and they won. Again. They are undefeated and she is over the moon. They still have 5 more games, but there is a good chance they will stay that way :) After her game, one of the parents who owns the Georgeio's in our town wanted to take all the girls there to celebrate. So, off she went. Grandma Bee, myself, and little man went home. It started to rain and Grandma Bee doesn't do well driving at night in the rain, so she left. Little Man ended up having his last Basketball game that night too, so off we went! After their game, they had a pizza party too, to celebrate their season. It was 7:30pm and I was exhausted from running all day. All of my people had eaten, so I came home and put dinner in the fridge for tomorrow. :) The kids took baths and went to bed (crashing from the sugar!)

As for me, I got a dish of my bean salad that I have been craving for the last week, a glass of wine, and watched what *I* wanted on TV, then went to bed myself at 9 pm. With no TV on, no Bee snoring, and a whole bed to myself, I crashed immediately and since there was no school today, I got to sleep until 7 am. It was a great way to end the day! LOL! I love my husband. I do. I already miss him like the dickens, but I will tell you what, that was the best night's sleep I have had in a long time lol! ;)

Tonight, my friend T and I are going out to dinner for some girl time, and then tomorrow, it will be an all bestie weekend with BFF ROSE! And, NEW HAIR! :D

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!

Just a typical Tuesday night

Tuesday.

The bane of my existence.

C had a Basketball game right after school. Bee was frazzled because he had to run home and run up to the school to take her basketball shorts to her because she forgot them, only to get there in a hurried state to find out she just borrowed a pair from coach. Yeah, he wasn't happy. Mostly, because he had to get back in the car and go home and wait for Little Man to get home so that they could come BACK up to the school to watch the game.

By the way. Let's look at this situation as a prime example of how women think different than men. Bee was 1000 feet from Little Man's School (seriously. They are all on the same campus. In fact, you can go from the Elementary school, to the Middle School, to the High School all without having to go outside. They are interconnected). It was 3:25 pm. Little Man's school ends at 3:30 pm. He got into his car, drove the .75 miles HOME and waited, in the car, with it running.. for Little Man to get off the bus, which wasn't until 4:00 pm. Then drove BACK to the school for C's game. Now, as a WOMAN, I would have waited for Little Man to come OUTSIDE for the bus (they don't like you to come get them from the class room unless you call them by 1 pm....or send in a note...) and said, "Hey, Little Man!" to which, he would of said "Oh, Hello, Mom!" and I would have said, "C'mon, we are going to watch C's basketball game". And off we would have went. But, whatever...

She won, by the way. 27-2. They are undefeated still at 10-0! That's my girl! Monday's game she actually scored the game winning point against the toughest team they will have to face this season. I'll be sad when Basketball is over :( She got her basketball pictures back...
it makes me mad I can not rotate this picture...

I never understand why the girls walk around with their hands on their "hips" except, apparently their hips are waaaaay lower than mine...hmm...anyway..

Bee brought her home, and took little man to practice a little while after I got home. But, not before proclaiming he didn't feel well and made me feel his head. He had a fever and was all flushed in the face.

Bee. Not Little Man. Lest you think we sent a sick kid to Basketball practice..

Bee came home and sat in his chair looking miserable. Meanwhile, I made dinner, and put it in the over, took C to Civil Air Patrol, came home, fixed plates for my two men, and ate something myself, only to Kiss Bee goodnight (he was in bed by 8 pm!) and go get C from her meeting. I stayed up long enough with her so she could eat, and then we both went to bed.

Whew!

I still haven't gotten to watch Walking Dead yet :/ And Probably won't...until this weekend :(

At least my meatloaf was delicious...and looked beautiful in my new dish that my sister-in-law got me for the wedding :D

High Flyin'

C had her first flight for Civil Air Patrol this weekend. She was so excited. This was why she joined. If she continues to log her hours in on a regular basis with CAP and flying, she will have her pilots license by the time she is 14! Go C!

Count down till huntin' weekend

We had a very uneventful weekend for once. It was really nice :) Friday night I went to the store and bought stuff for steak salad. We ate, watched TV and relaxed. Saturday, we had Little Man's basketball game and then we came home and watched TV and ate salad. Then we took C to her friends house to spend the night. They had to be up early the next day for their Civil Air Patrol flights. We sat around basking in the laziness until our friends the Jones's called us up and asked up to dinner. We went, enjoyed the company, and then it was time for more laziness. :) We went to bed at a decent hour because we wanted to try out this new church that one of the members invited us too.

Sunday we got up, headed out the door and actually made it someplace on time :P I asked Bee what he thought after the service was over. He said he knew I didn't like it because he loved it (problem in the past we've had. I'm more conservative than he is and we like different kinds of services). I told him he was wrong. I actually REALLY liked it. Perfect mix of contemporary (Music and worship style) and conservative (teaching and practices like communion). I think we may have found a place to call our churchy home :) We hit up the gun store (Wow...Church AND guns in the same sentence. We really are rednecks ;)  ) because Bee needed ammo for this upcoming weekend's hunting trip :) Then it was home to be lazy all day. When you are always on the go, a weekend of nothing is awesome :)

Bee is gearing up for his annual coyote hunting trip. In the last 2 years he has gone, they've killed more 6 packs and dead trees than any coyote (They've killed no coyote. In a place that's over-run with them...hence the big bounty weekend...ahem) But he has fun with his friends just the same. They shoot guns, drink, eat...a lot, fart...a lot, see who can do the grossest thing to another guy....light off fire-crackers, you know..things 8 year old boys do...but they are grown men so...they can afford bigger and better things to blow up ;)

In the mean time, I will be having an all besties weekend filled with all things bestie related. Fried food, beer, laughing (more like cackling), getting our hair did, story telling, and of course, drinking :P It's going to be awesome :)

My favorites

So, I would love to upload them all here. However, there is close to 400 of them! :) I am going to make a slide show later and post that, but until then, I'll just post my favorite. Sam Young did an awesome job :)

The day has come!

I get my wedding pictures tonight!

SQUEE!!

I am so excited. Sam, my photographer, said they are "pretty damn awesome". I am so excited. I don't really know how I am going to make it through the day! Sigh. Oh well. I really am busy at work. In fact, after I type this, I will probably be elbow deep in work until it's time to go home. So, there's that. Once I get my pictures back, I am going to be busy! I need to get some printed. Some framed. Some sent off to family and friends, and then I have to do all my thank you cards! I don't really mind too much though. It will be fun :)

I am also getting excited because February is when Bee and I decided to start trying to have a baby. We can't try in the conventional way, so I need to call and make a doctor's appointment. It will actually probably be March when we start, but either way I'm getting excited. I was on a pregnancy website last night and learned (don't laugh!) that after the sperm is inside you, you can get pregnant up to FIVE days after. I had no idea! I knew it could live 36 hours (or so I thought) outside the male body, but I didn't know it had 5 days. That's pretty awesome :) I can't wait to have a baby bee :D

Speaking of baby bee's, C's team won their basketball game last night. They are still undefeated! They have a game tonight and I hope they can hold on to that record :) C's Grandparents called last night wanting to know when and where here game was tonight (Wednesday). Bee told them he didn't know (I don't think he realizes that her schedule is hanging on the fridge....) but that as soon as she got back from her game he would have her call them. They were all surprised and "wish they'd have known" because they would have gone. Um. Why do I bother sending them schedules? Why do they bother hanging them up on their fridge (Little Man says they are right there ON THE CALENDAR) if they are not going to read them/claim they don't own one? C called them at 9 pm after Civil Air Patrol and Grandma said she checked online but didn't see that C had a game (if you know how to check on line, why did you have to call and ask about tomorrow, now today's game?) C said that it was on her schedule that her and I sent her. Then, grandma asked if she was "ok?" C said she was, and then Grandma said that the egg donor had been trying to call. C stated that "We've been busy, ok? Is that alright?". Then, Grandma asked if she could "get together" with her.

Greeeaat, More brainwashing. C is not interested. Little Man? DEFIANTLY not interested. They are all going to have to come to grips with the fact that after being treated the way they have been, after being lied to, left, and embarrassed, they want no part of that family. Well, more like, not as big of a part as they used to. It sucks, but as they say, You reap what you sow...

Anyway, one last thing before I boogie. This is a picture that Grandma Bee posted on Bee's facebook. It's the Cross at the top of the mountain that is in Bee's hometown. We went there when we first started dating. Bee showed me his hometown. It was a very special trip :) This is that same place, covered in a blanket of white. BEAUTIFUL!

This is from when we went back in 2009. :)
