My New City

I now live in a small town located in the northeast part of Ohio. For all intents and purposes, it's the "country". I have always pictured myself with a husband and a few kids living in the country somewhere, but I really didn't think it would happen. When I first moved in with Bee and we started spending time in this city (we used to live one city over), I decided that is where I wanted to live and said I would live there eventually. Here I am. I am also the happiest I have ever been :)

REASONS WHY I LOVE MY NEW CITY

1. It is close to the Lake. I Love the water and the beach.
2. It's only 2.2 Square miles big and a Population of 2,000
3. You can tell other people in the city "I live in the yellow house on " and people totally know where you are talking about.
4. Fields. Open Land.
5. Roadside stands.
6. STARS! YOU CAN SEE THEM EVERY NIGHT!
7. Speed limits are clearly posted everywhere and our 4 cops are super diligent about patrolling and WILL pull you over and ticket you for speeding. Sucks for speed demons like myself, but at least I know my kids can play safely outside!
8. My kids, and the neighborhood kids can play safely outside
9. The schools are A-MAZE-ING! They say a High school Diploma here is almost worth an associates degree in some colleges.
10. I hear frogs and crickets at night
11. You can leave your door unlocked (we don't) and no one would bother you
12. Everyone is pleasant and knows each other.
