My Daybook #24

Today is...
September 1st! Where has the summer gone? :/ Oh well, Football Season starts in 2 weeks! GOOOO STEELERS!

Outside My Window...
Sunny! It's going to be a HOT one today! 90 degrees and I loooove it! Supposed to drop down to 64 tomorrow. That's not that cold, but considering the big drop, it will feel frigid!

I am Thinking...
about how nice it feels to have my house unpacked! I still have to get Bee to hang some things on the wall for me, but other than that...I came home last night and just relaxed the best part? He was at practice with "C" and the other two were outside with friends...so I got to relax by myself. I am also thinking about what to make for our big inaugural BBQ on Sunday!! I will gladly accept any ideas! ;)

I am thankful for...
The cleaning lady at my work who found my BRAND NEW ipod touch on the floor in my cubicle (When I reached for it on my way home last night, and saw it wasn't there, I remembered seeing it fall out of my purse and thinking "I need to grab that" but forgot...) and instead of putting it in her pocket (like our last crew would have) she nicely placed it on my seat and pushed my chair in so no one would walk by and see it...Thank you, Cleaning lady for your honesty!!!!!!

What I have learned this week...
That BFF Rose and I will always be friends. However, as we change, our relationship will change. We have gone from seeing each other every weekend, to living together and seeing each other every day, to living separate and seeing each other once a month, to seeing each other every weekend, to now back to seeing each other roughly once a month. The difference this time around is that we both have boyfriends and busy lives so, we are both ok with this set up and are comfortable and not feeling slighted when neither of us pick up the phone to call the other on a daily basis...

I am wearing...
Jeans, Brown Sandals, brown tank top, and brown sweater. I am back into my brown phase I guess...

I am creating...
a shopping list for BBQ food! I want a simple recipe for something summery that is awesome! Any ideas?

I am going...
to throw my first party in the new house on Sunday. I am super excited and I really hope people come. If they don't, I know for SURE that the 5 of us will be there, Grandma Bee, My mom, dad, and sister, and BFF Rose and Jeremy, my ex boyfriend. Nice. Also, since we will have food, outside, and some of it will be cooking on a grill, therefore releasing it's yumtastic aroma into the air, not to mention, people outside, we will probably have all the kids from the neighborhood over too...since they practically live there anyway...

I am reading...
Recipes for ideas for something good to make!

I am hoping...
to enjoy this long weekend, clean my house, and enjoy time with family and friends!

I am hearing...
the intercom buzzing...

Around the House...
We are all moved in, AND Unpacked! Everyone keeps telling me I am some sort of super hero for being unpacked already. Really? I don't feel like one...in fact, I feel like it took me longer than it should have....oh well, it's done at least :) Kids are still loving school. From what I can tell ,they are doing a good job. They don't say anything, Bee doesn't say anything, so I assume they are doing what they are supposed to be doing...There is an Internet system that has every child's up to the second grades and progress reports, along with a list of any fines/fees they still owe, or any supplies they have yet to get/turn in. I can not access that because they wouldn't let me sign up Bee and I for an account because they did not come from my womb. That's fine, but do they not understand that if I don't do it, it won't get done? Oh well..

We have had to set the kids down and lay out the rules...again..regarding chores, friends, and how we treat each other. I am sure this is not just our children, but it's annoying because all I do when I get home is remind kids of the rules. Harp Harp Harp! I don't want to be like that, I don't want the kids or their friends to think I am like that either...however, walking in my door and finding three kids who are not mine digging through my refrigerator is not cool. Also, putting away the 16 (I counted) cups I took out of the dishwasher from just ONE day wasn't cool either. I have a big plastic cup I use all the time. Bee buys the 24oz bottles of pop for him, and therefore drinks out of them, so I know they are not our cups.

Other than that, we are preparing for our first BBQ at the new house! Also, the start of the NFL football season! NFL Sunday Ticket, Here we come!

One of my Favorite things this week...
Spending Saturday with BFF Rose and Sunday with my family!

A Picture Thought...
Two this week! This is our Koi Pond! Soon to have fish, but for now, just frogs (Who I am sure are loving that the kids are not allowed back there...)

I hear you. I feel like "harp" is my middle name. If only they would just always follow the rules...
